Back in 2007, when I first became aware of the "blogosphere", one of the very first blogs I started to read was Money Saving Mom. While we had always lived a frugal lifestyle, I learned much from her about using coupons, shopping at CVS and loads of other practical things. Her blog is always inspiring in so many ways! Even if you aren't into coupons, she shares wonderful ideas about time management, saving money, and even things like freezer cooking!
Today, Crystal released her newest book, "Celebrating and Savoring a Simple Christmas." I read it and will attest that it is worth your time! Not only is it is practical, it is full of links to resources for recipes, gift ideas, crafts and more. Every chapter motivates you to take specific steps necessary so you are able, just like the title says, to slow down and really celebrate and savor Christmas.
And guess what? I get to give one of these books to you! But if you want to read it right now, you can hop on over to Amazon where it's on sale today through Thursday for $0.99.
Entering this giveaway is so simple, just use the Rafflecopter entry form below. Don't procrastinate though, this giveaway ends Wednesday at midnight! Hope you win!!

ReplyDeleteme I love all the fun things we do, but family is the traditional part I love best!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the family time we have.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tradition as a child was when my Dad bought Mom an expensive nativity scene when us 4 kids were very little. So, of course, we could not touch!! But every year, Mom would make it exciting and as she would grab one tissue paper covered figurine, we kids would try to guess what figurine was being unwrapped. After it was all set up, Mom would talk to us about the birth of Christ and how it happened and why it was important. Now, married with children, I think back to unwrapping that nativity and how my Mom made sure that we understood the true meaning of Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love watching our children be thrilled with the time and traditions they get to do with their Daddy each year during this season. These include going out to cut the tree, decorating it, making Christmas tree cookies, decorating the bushes with lights, decorating the house, and making stollen for Sunday brunch. Being a Navy family, those large chunks of time with their father don't always come often enough. I participate as well but many of these traditions were ones he did with his Dad each year.
ReplyDeleteSipping cocoa on the porch swing with a blanket, under the stars!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great book!!! :)
ReplyDeleteReading "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" :-).
ReplyDeleteJust being in our home with our little (big) family. Love traveling to visit and see relatives but really, for me, at this time of year there is no place like home!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a wonderful book. I could use some ideas to have a more peaceful Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas tradition actually is when we go get our Christmas tree. We go get the tree and come home, have breakfast for dinner and decorate the tree. Fun family time!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas tradition is reading a book every night about the Birth of Christ with our children...it's always so cozy with hot cocoa and fuzy jammies and it's what I hope their memories are made of :)
ReplyDeleteCinnamon rolls Christmas morning and going to look at lights.

My favorite Christmas tradition is going to look at Christmas lights at Tanglewood as a family. My 3 year old LOVES Christmas lights, and I love watching his excitement. I also love the cookie fellowship we do after the children's Christmas play at church each year.
