Hello, Monday! {the dishwasher exploded edition}

I love reading Lisa Leonards "Hello, Monday" posts, so I thought I'd participate today!

Hello lazy summer mornings watching bugs bunny...

Hello new to me laptop that we can watch bugs bunny on! (Anniversary gift from my dad! Yay!  Goodbye uber slow desktop!!)

 Hello donuts that my hubby brought us this morning

 Hello to my favorite beverage in the whole wide world...Blueberry Iced Coffee with extra cream and no sugar (thanks, Honey!!)

Hello to the very last load of dishwasher-washed dishes and goodbye to my dishwasher!! {sniff:sniff}
Yeah, last night my hubby and I were sitting on the couch chatting and all of a sudden we heard a really loud popcorn popping type of sound coming from the kitchen.  Steven ran to the kitchen and saw flames leaping out from the bottom of the dishwasher. Wowsers!  He quickly flipped the electrical switch that controls that plug and it stopped immediately.  I'm so thankful we were awake when this happened..usually I turn on the dishwasher right before I got to bed!! I'm definitely sad about not having a dishwasher anymore, but I seriously can't be too sad.  We bought it two years ago at a yard sale for $15!  It has probably been run every day since then so I'd say it's served us well! =)

 Hello to little fingers that keep snatching these fresh peaches from...the 1/2 bushel I bought Wednesday is already more than halfway gone!

Hello all you gorgeous sugar snap peas that greeted me this morning!  You'll be delicious with our lunch!

Hello chicken that follows me around the yard...

 Hello sweet baby...you're really not that enthused with this rice cereal stuff, are you?

Hello DIY maxi skirt that I'm going get some fabric for today...(yay!)

So, how is your Monday going so far?  What are you up to today?

  2. Yikes! Flames? How scary. I turn my dishwasher on at bedtime too. I may have to change that. That drink looks delish!! Have a great week.

  3. Wow... "Good Bye Dishwasher" is much better than "Good Bye House!" What a blessing that you were home and heard in time to foil anything worse.

    I always thought rice cereal was contrived by someone who didn't think babies had any taste buds. Yuck. I couldn't bring myself to feed it to them very often without some fruit mixed in. Her dress is adorable!
