Celebrating a Decade of Marriage

Okay, so just reading that title makes me shake my head.  It honestly doesn't seem like a decade that we've been married.  That sounds so, so....OLD! =D

To celebrate this HUGE milestone in our lives, we left our little people with some friends and headed to the big city..aka Charlotte.  We country folks like to get out every now and then, hahaha. =)

And you know where my wonderful hubby took me???

HOME GOODS!!  I had never been there before and have heard it raved about for years.  Wowsers, that place is amazing!  We had so much fun in there...it was so nice just to walk and browse and hold hands!!  =)

My hubby had made reservations for P.F. Changs, which we had heard about but never been too.
 It was amaaaaazing. The food was SO good and the atmosphere was so romantic.  Dim lights, candles on the table...so perfect. =)  They asked what the occasion was and when they heard it was our anniversary they gave us coupons and cheesecake to take home!  Packed with it were fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and this fresh raspberry sauce. (Not that syrupy stuff that you usually get!) YUMMY!!

 Later in the evening we stopped by this frozen yogurt place we saw on the way home.  MMMmmmmm!!

Want to see what we looked like 10 years ago??
This is probably my favorite picture from our wedding! This was before digital photography was big so all our pics were on film. One of these days I'm going to tackle the huge job of scanning ALL of our wedding pics!

We were talking last night and thinking about all the things that have happened over the past 10 years.  It's a lot. They definitely have been eventful! Here's just some random numbers that sum up the past decade....

6 moves
2 homes bought
1 home sold
90 pounds gained and lost over 4 pregnancies (random, I know!)
2 college degrees earned
7 years in full time ministry
14 months unemployed (Steven)
145 days in the hospital with our children
4 happy little people here with us
1 miscarriage
0...times I've ever regretted becoming Mrs. Steven Chambers  =)

{sweethearts}

So here we are, 10 years later!  And we don't look a bit different from that wedding picture, do we?? {cough:cough}

Yesterday was such a fabulous day full of laughing, reminiscing, dreaming....I enjoyed every minute. =)  Hoping this is the first of many decades of happiness!
