Brassy to Sassy: Chandelier Makeover

Isn't it fun to take something not so pretty and make it fabulous??

About two weeks ago I found this chandelier at a yard sale.

"How much do you want for it?" I asked the man.
"Oh, I don't know, how much will you give me for it?"
"How about a dollar?"
"Great!", he said.  "I'm just happy to have someone take it off my hands!"
Happy buyer and happy seller....love it when that happens!

So I took her home, hung her outside on the clothesline and gave her two coats of Rust-Oleum Metal Primer (grey) and then two coats of some Rust-Oleum red spray paint that I already had.  I forgot to look at the color before I threw it away though!!  (Next time I am at the store, I will check the name...promise!) Update: Made a Wally World trip and the color is "Regal Red."  On this particular paint can, the name is on the UPC code.

*Just a tip...don't skip the primer!  I ruined a chandelier last year by skipping this step!  Grrr!

{Will definitely be making a chain cover ASAP!}

We replaced the nasty light fixture in the laundry room/mud room with this chandy.  I love having this pop of color in a place that needs a little fun, because let's face it...the laundry room is NOT my favorite place to go! =)

{This red chandelier makes me smile!}
And just for fun, here's a sneak peak at a corner of my laundry/mud room that is a work in progress...can't wait to show you when it is finally finished!

What have you spray painted lately?  Any fun makeovers in the works?
