Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I have slacked off the past couple of weeks and not participated..but once again, knowing I must keep it real, it was time for my confessions.

I am not only 14+ weeks along and I do not already have to use a hair rubber band to ease the fit of my jean skirt.

I did not give in to a completely irrational craving and eat Ramen noodles for breakfast. Chicken flavor. And I'm not drooling thinking about it!

Blaming said baby bump that has not suddenly emerged, I did not wear my black dress with black high heels to church yesterday. With no pantyhose. And my husband was most definitely not the guest preacher at a church. No, I would never want to look like a rebellious preachers wife on account of comfort and wanting to breathe. Nope, not me!

At the restaurant yesterday, I did not kindly ask my hubby if he could order sweet tea so I could please have a little sip. (It's not like I've been craving it or something!) And my sip of his tea didn't turn into gulps and then mad guzzling of that heavenly stuff. Ya'll wouldn't believe that now would you?

High pitch Caleb screams of "Daddy!!!!! I did it!!!!!!! I went pee-pee STANDING UP!" did not go echoing throughout our house this week. Of course he did not ask me the next day when I was going to learn.

Since we've been learning about the rainforests and it's many critters in school, I did not have the brilliant idea to go on Youtube and let my children hear what a howler monkey sounded like. My children then did not try to imitate said obnoxious monkey for the next 1 1/2 hours. And while they were playing outside, their mother would have never crept around to the front of the house, hid behind the wood pile and made loud howler monkey sounds until her children were at the brink of hysteria. Nope, not me!!

  2. Ha, ha! I love your howler monkeys! We did not have a very similar experience recently either. Don't you love homeschooling? :)
