This is Mr. Caleb, a.k.a. charmer/ladykiller.
He's been working the ladies since he was a 1lb. 15oz. baby in the NICU. His nurses could not get enough of his adorable self and he was showered with names of adoration such as"Handsome" and "Sweet Love." When he was big enough they changed his clothes several times a day and would take him around the NICU showing off his utter cuteness.
But it's only been lately that he's been really tugging at heart strings with his charming ways. My heart strings to be exact.
Monday night as I was just finishing up with goodnight hugs and kisses he said, "Mommy, I want to tell you a secret." I leaned close and he whispered in my ear, "You're pretty!" :Gulp: Be still my beating heart!
When we got home from church last night, I asked him to please put away his cowboy boots and then put his jammies on. He replied with a happy "Sure, beautiful!" Just melt my heart, why don't you!
Then, as I tucked him into bed last night, he put his arms around my neck and squeezed me tight and let out a little sigh and said, "Goodnight, my pretty princess." Heart sufficiently melted. And I'm in a puddle of goo on the floor.
So, to all those little ladies in waiting out there....this little charmer will make a great husband one day. You know, in like 50 years or so. But in case you are in doubt, here's a few reasons that I'm sure will seal the deal and make your little heart flutter for the next 50 years while you wait.....Will have tea parties with you in the living room floor.....
And is diligently working on his poetry.
Can we arrange a marriage??=) He is so handsome!
