I guess in the journey of parenthood, there are lots of things we teach our children. You know, look both ways before you cross the street, don't ever run away from Mommy in the parking lot, don't stand up in the shopping cart (can you tell we went grocery shopping this morning?), don't try to ride on the buggy, don't pick up your gum that just fell on the nasty Walmart floor and put it back in your mouth, etc. And all of this is done to protect our children from harmful consequences. But yet, to their dismay there are things they have to find out for themselves. Yesterday, as Steven and I were cleaning off the table after lunch, Caleb suddenly started shrieking. We both jumped and looked to see what the problem was and there he was with his finger stuck in Lydia's princess cup. Being the mean and sinister mother that I am, I had to run and fetch the camera before I rescued him.

Maybe I should have told him that the Princesses were viscious and bit his finger. That should scare him away from girly things for life!

If you look really close you can see the tip of his finger inside of the cup! He had it wedged really good! Steven had to pull pretty hard to get it out.
*Moral of the story: Don't forget to teach your children to refrain from sticking their finger into holes that are smaller than the diameter of their finger! *
You are bad!! SO BAD!! How mean...look at the poor inoccent little boy!=) He is such a cutie...if he is anything like Megan and Tyler, he will probably do the same thing in an hour or two!=) Their crazy! Never learn...
